"not as bad" doesn't mean good. I expect accuracy, and report when it's not. and this was not... The timing and all was fine, but if you actually read the subs, alot of parts just don't make sense. like "hell brain half wits" instead of "hairbrained half-wits" and the like. There's alot of lines that just make no sense whatsoever, so the person either doesn't have a great grasp of english sayings, or just transcribed without really paying attention to what they were putting. (I don't mean just a few spots here and there, either. There were LOTS and LOTS of parts. I am hearing impaired, and could still tell the proper words...) :)
Wow, maybe I'm not an English speaker so I don't pay attention that close and details or whatsoever, and could be the same problem with the uploader lol. I was just so happy because I finally found a sub that match, and even though "There's alot of lines that just make no sense whatsoever" I was still able to fully observe the movie :)
btw, it's amazing that someone with disability like you could tell more than I do, I hope one day I'll be able to understand English like a native so I don't need any subtitles at all :)
I've figured it is most likely that English is not the transcriber's first language. Your English used here is very good. :) It's always harder to learn sayings that are specific to individual languages. Often that are specific to even just regions in a country, so people who speak the language since birth, still have no understanding lol :D These are still enough to get by, that is for sure, so at least people get the overall idea. There are just parts that might be difficult to understand as it's not the proper transcription. :)
