Hi,

I left out the lines (mandarin spoken) which were already hardsubbed. No point duplicating the text. The hardsubs are a little off synced, but still bearable imo.

Watched it the 2nd time after I uploaded this, and laughed at myself. If you guys noticed, eg., deserts mis-spelt as 'desserts'.

And other words that I couldn't quite figure out, "See-Crook Kung Fu of the South' and "Hand over the Raben", both dialogues from the tea-house. Anyone knows the right words, please kindly share it.

For those who wants to edit, cut, paste the mandarin lines or such, or for other non-pukka's versions, be my guest. It's all about sharing, isn't it? I'm just doing this for fun.

Hey firstsub. Thanks for providing this sub :) I have most of all your answers ... See-Crook is .. wait for it .. secret ! Doh! :). Anyway, I downloaded and compared almost every english sub here - everyone is using basicaly the same text - identical.

 I've uploaded a new version (link below) which contains 100's of fixes - some as obvious as desserts and See-Crook - many others more subtle, and many that completely change the context of what is being said.

Feel free to download my version (it took me 10 hrs of painstaking editing and listening) and do a file comparison. More info on the actual changes listed at the link below :)

Thanks for the update. This sub must have gone through many iterations by now since I first released it.

With the fixes you have done, it makes a lot better sense now. I am sure many others too, appreciates the time you put in on this.

Great movie, I'll be watching it some time later again, and this time with your proper sub in it. Kan-pei (Cheers!).

It's hard after 10 hrs straight to pick up any last mistakes. I finally got round to sitting down and watching some of it on my dvd player with my subs (my computer is 8 yrs old and i have timing issues because the pc isn't grunty enough). I only checked about 30 minutes of it and found one last error ...

 wait for it ....

"raben" - which I simply assumed was a type of weapon - is actually "weapon" - it's used twice in the tea-house scene - as in "hand over the weapon"

I have manually edited my local copy - it's not worth uploading a final version. The only other thing is a couple of lines have timing issues - probably the ones i added - as I said, it's hard on an 8 yr old pc !!! There are other 'errors' I'm sure - like I put in "Bow Staff" - everyone else seems to like "Bold Staff" and I'm still not convinced it's Sprinting Monkey - I think the old guy says "Spanky Monkey"

Anyway - please let me know of any changes or further fixes you might have to my version once you've watched it again with my sub, as I'm keen to do a final edit and burn the baby to disc :) Thanks.

I've not got around to watching it the 3rd time. What you did was already very decent. My interpretation of "raben", could be "rare-beam", closes I could think off.

English speaking parts are okay. However, Chinese parts that I originally left out, in my translation would be as such,

The timing may not be right, as I'm using a 2cd version now. There are a few other Chinese dialogues which I translated that's slightly different from the ones posted. But they are just minor, and won't affect the story line at all.
