ppp1,
I want to personally thank you for taking the time to create the English subtitles for this movie.
My only disappointment is the movie company that distributed this on DVD without including English subtitles as an option. I would have paid a lot of money to buy it, but looks as if their short sightedness, poor business marketing skills, and stupidity has shown itself here.
Why is Thailand not proud of their best of 2007 film to offer it with English subtitles? It has won a lot of awards and I think it’s a fantastic movie.
Once again thank you for making my dream of watching it with English subtitles come true.
Question, I searched and searched but cannot seem to find the torrent with the single avi file associated with your updated .srt file (the.love.of.siam.2007.x264.srt)?
hey there... I sent you a private message on where to find the link to download this and it comes with subtitles but I would use the subtitles from this website, much much better.
I am working on a totally americanized version and something for people who might not be able to follow the movie easily. Those subtitles should be done this coming weekend if you are interested.... same place, same channel. Let me know if you need help with anything.
There are alot of other interesting international movies on that site also. ... Take care !!

hey bud.... I am not sure what you mean by viewing the subtitles. Do you mean you want to view the subtitle file on your computer (if so, click on it and if you have notepad on your computer, it will bring it up... you can even edit the subtitles and save to a file) or do you mean view them with the movie? If the movie, if you have on your computer total video player, it will ask you to load the subtitle file (actually, if the file is in the same folder as the movie, it will automatically load it) or if you want to view it via making a DVD or avi on a disc... best thing for DVD is ConvertXtoDVD program that will make the dvd and ask if you want to add subtitles... it is a great program.
As for avi, I heard there is a program out on the net where all it does is join the two files without changing any of the resolution or quality and if you put it in your DVD player, you should be able to hit your subtitle button on the remote (this only works with Divx/DVD players for avi movies. I hope this helps some.
Wow, Jebpac, you have been so active!! Thank you so much for your help! :-)
I'm interested to see the Americanized version of this movie too. I did my version continuously in one night, so there must be some part that I was half asleep, plus I'm not a native speaker, so some part could have been translated better.. (+_+)\ If I have time this weekend I will translate other songs in the movie too. (Should I? Do you need it?)
Tomorrow (Mar 28th) is the day that they will release the Director's Cut version. I'll try to find it so we can all watch it soon.
By the way, I have been calling the company about their English subtitle too, but didn't work. I think they only have the Chinese version for the Hong Kong film festival.
Thanks again for all comments & thank you, jebpac. I will wait for your American version soon. :-)
OH man... yes.... I would love some help before I start disecting the movie. and YES !!! the Director's cut is released tomorrow....
I can't believe you actually contacted the film company. I do believe that they have NO idea how to market a movie nor do they know what a gem of a movie they have. I will let you know what I would like translated... I know I want that Khun Kun song translated....it is too beautiful to not know what they are saying. I don't think there is much else though really. So, it won't or shouldn't take you long to do but only do it at your convenience. talk to you soon.
let me know when you get that movie. I am so damn excited. Boink !!!

yeah...well... I figured as much.... crap. well, we will just have to wait... I am almost finished with the Americanized subtitles which are not EXACTLY the words from the movie but very close but only giving it a more western/USA feeling. Plus, my additions seem to make the story a bit more romantic.

well, the revised final Americanized edition is uploaded as of now. I deleted the previous version. So, have at it. Not much has changed except for some things that rogard pointed out. I will not be editing or deleting this anymore, this is the Absolute Final version... at least for this version of the movie and coming from me. The Director's cut subtitles should be released sometime towards the end of April or early May 2008. (DVD is not released until April 9th so have patiencs)
