The subs are complete, there's nothing wrong with them. What do you mean by "just one line" ?

Complete? Nothing wrong with them? I don't agree and strongly suggest you try to open them in a subtitle editor such as Subtitle Workshop (as opposed to notepad). This will trigger a "the file is a bad subtitle or an unsupported format" warning, or, if you have it setup to "interpret invalid files as plain text" the following single line will appear: "ÿþ1". Also, the size of the file - 220 KB - is way too big. The proper version is 105 KB.  

Aparently, this is caused by uploader saving subtitle file in unicode format, which, apart from causing files of twice the size, is unreadable to subtitle editors.

I wouldn't make such a statement before checking the subs first. I opened them in Subresync and tried them with Windows Media Player, and as you can see, they work and are complete:

They may be complete. But the subs are in unicode format, they should be in ascii to ensure 100% compatability with sub editors and standalone players. Oh well, I guess you can open it in word save it as ascii and then use it...
