How do I convert a regular translation file to 720p

 hello everyone

How do I convert a regular translation file(divx) to 720p

i have a srt file for a dvdrip movie but the movie i have is BRrip now i want to convert the subtitle from dvd rip to BRrip please help

Give subtitle and video the same name and see if it fits. You might be lucky.

If the subtitle is off sync, have a look at our tutorials about syncing subtitles. There is no difference between syncing a subtitle for a DVDrip or 720p mkv.

Unfortunately, I tried but did not fit

Why is there no difference

then why I see many people are asking to submit a copy of the subs for  720p

Well, then you have to resync it. As I said, have a look at the tutorials. You can use subtitle workshop or time adjuster for this task. Don't forget to upload the result. :-)

i see the tutorials and i try to do it the same way

i try subtitle workshop but he can't load the video file says (>mkv is not valid video file) [:'(]

rogard my man thanks you try to helpYes

i well try the another program (time adjuster) and see if it's working

Have a look at the subttiles' first and last lines, then open the video in your player. Write down when the first and the last line of the subtitles SHOULD appear, then use timeadjuster to correct the subtitle.

Problem here is that BDs can have all sorts of framerates: 23.978, 24, 25/50, 29.976....etc. Especially the small difference between 23.978 and 24makes DVD subs out of sync for (some) BDs.

As for the STW and MKV problem, here's the solution:

(I guess that calls for a new tutorial, huh?) [Smile]

the mkv file is working now in subtitle workshop thanks to you

yes that call for a new tutorial and you should be the one who make it

but i try to adjust the time with subtitle workshop like you said

First spoken line and last spoken line

After adjustment translation was in the beginning very good after some several minutes at start to Delays  i well try time djuster and see the result

Thanks Again

oh man i am done trying

nothing is working

time adjuster make the sub work fine at the beginning and the end of the movie only

In the center of the film the sub is not suitable

i think there is no other way to do it except doing it manually sub by sub Sad

Weird. Maybe there are different versions of the film? Like extended/unrated/Director's cut...

With Haali Media splitter you should be able to open the film in STW and try it again. Other than that, I have no ideas left. :-(

EDIT: Have you looked around worldwide? Maybe your subtitle is somewhere out there. Try all4divx.com.

If nothing helps: Just browse through the subtitle in STW and find out when it is going out of sync. You can then highlight parts of the subtitle and adjust them. Sounds painful...and it is.

i just download the dvd copy of the movie and it's work fine

it was the the easiest solution for me [Super Angry]

thank you very much for your help and for your quick Responce
