Subtitles not downloading?

I love subscene, I can't watch releases without subtitles. Simply put, I need to know every word that's being said. Subscene has been able to feed my addiction to film subtitles for quite sometime now and I recommend it to all.

Recently though, I've been having problem downloading. When I click the release, the "Download Subtitle" link appears like normal. I click the link, then very briefly it will change to "Downloading..." and "Problems Downloading? Click here". Instead of downloading the page merely refreshes. I attempt to hit the problem downloading link, but the page reloads much to quickly.

Is anyone else experiencing such problems from the site like this recently? If so, what's to be done. Thanks, much!

Yeah mate, we all face the addiction here. This is what keeps us united.

Please tell us more info about your browser or how you download it. Maybe your browser isnt capable of reading aspx files or you don't have Java installed. Please check and reply.

Also tell us of your internet browser and Java version. Thanks!

Well after running through all my java settings and browser settings the problem continued to arise. So I decided to shut off my Norton Firewall and TADA! Problem fixed.

I have java allowed within the firewall, not sure why it's not allowing it. I swear norton is the biggest glitchiest resource hog of a firewall.

It's strange how it just started doing this a few weeks ago. Ah well, thanks for the help!

They have begun to check the referer header when downloading subtitles. If it is missing or you came from another site, no subtitle for you. So allow for referer headers in norton.

I've made another post about this, suggesting that a missing referer header should be treated as a valid one.
