Sorry Im new to this - I just downloaded Polisse.avi- and save locally the .srt sub. How do I activate the sub please?

just rename subtitle file to be the same name of movie's one, which means that u must change [tniz.free.fr] polisse.srt to polisse.srt & it will work.
Sorry the sub is actually named as the movie [tniz.free.fr] polisse - I save both files ([tniz.free.fr] polisse.avi and [tniz.free.fr] polisse.srt) in the same location on my C drive - But when I open the movie there is no subtitles.

sorry but i can't figure out ur problem wiz the subtitle, just check ur player or another technical problems in ur pc.

Thanks all for your help. I actually found a way to do it by using VLC. Open VLC > Media > Open Advanced > Select the .avi file and the .rst file in the subtitle section. And it works.
