Confused about what Subtitles to download?
The SRT (Subrip) Format Subtitles are rendered by the Haali Media Splitter primarily within the Home Cinema Classic Media Player. They can be part of a Container such as M2TS, TS, MKV, MP4, etc. or as a separate File with the same Name as the Container. For "split & linked" Files to be burned to optical Media they should be named after the very first Segment, such as "Terminator-001.srt". Spanned over 2 or more Disks they should be muxed within the Container. If you cannot see SRT Subs, enable them in the "Options" of the 'Haali Media Splitter'.
Although HD *.SRT Subs will often fit all Blu-ray 720p, 1080p and previous HD-DVD Rips, you may occasionally find some that don't. For this Reason its usually a good Policy to keep downloading different ones until you find one that fits your Rip. DVD Subs are different and generally won't work with HD or Bluray and vice versa, usually because the Sequencing, Framerate and Timing is different.
Users will often try to match a Subtitle Name with the Release Group Name of their Movie Download. Since all Blu-ray Movie Media for a given Region are manufactured the same Way, it shouldn't matter unless someone monkey'd around with them subsequently. In over 500 Rips I have done, I have never needed to re-sync any Subs and should be viewed as nothing more than the very finest Amateur Hour has to offer or yet another attention-seeking Ploy. I guess it gets lonely jerking off living in Mommie's basement suite after a while ... lol
Further, re-sync'ing, unless you are still downloading Shyte split over 2 or more CDs from the days gone-by DivX/XviD Era, this isn't necessary at all. Its just Testament of yet another Joker who doesn't know what he is doing. There is no need split Subs for Blu-ray HD Rips, as "Split & Link" Functions such as those found in 'MKVmerge' & 'tsMuxer' will do that automatically for you. There you can also advance or retard your Subs, and re-sync isn't necessary at all.
How do you remove Spam in Subtitles?
Crack open the *.srt File in Notepad or other Text Editor that does not add formatting or other "Control Code" upon saving any Changes. Use the Editor's "Search Function" to find Items such as "www" or "com" and remove them. Likewise, should you locate anything either at the beginning or end, or both, along the Line of "Subtitles by mEg@L0rD", simply remove the Line, but not the numerical values or timing index Lines above. It takes about as long to rip an SRT Sub as it does to wipe my A$$, and I don't ask anyone to get up out of their Seat for a Round of Applause ...
lol
Please report these "pre-pubescent" Uploads so the Webmaster can remove them from the Site. There is enough room in the "Comment Field" or "File Header" to let Downloaders know of your Efforts, but please leave them out of the Subtitles themselves.
