In 2004 the episode Barbequor was banned from airing in America, Canada, Latin America, and the United Kingdom due to threats by the creators of Silver Surfer over at Marvel Comics who viewed the Silver Spooner as a misuse of their character and a potential copyright infringement. As a result, the DVD release, digital retailer releases like HBO Max and subsequent airings deleted the episode and replaced it with "Dexter's Lab: A Story". It was included on the Season One DVD release in Region 4.
